Na tarde da última segunda-feira(27), a Polícia Civil do Maranhão, conseguiu dar cumprimento a um mandado de prisão preventiva contra um homem investigado por ser um dos principais responsáveis por organizar e executar o roubo à empresa de transporte de valores Cefor, ocorrido no dia 18 de outubro de 2024, na cidade de Bacabal. Na oportunidade, cerca de 13 criminosos fortemente armados invadiram a sede da empresa e, após renderem vigilantes, e funcionários, subtraíram mais de 22 milhões de reais.
De acordo com o Departamento de Combate ao Roubo à Instituições Financeiras (DCRIF/SEIC), o investigado foi localizado e preso na cidade de Teresina, capital do Piauí, através de um trabalho integrado envolvendo as forças de segurança dos dois estados, incluindo o Centro de Inteligência de Segurança Pública do Maranhão (CISP) e o Departamento de Repressão às Ações Criminosas Organizadas da Polícia Civil do Piauí (DRACO).
Ainda segundo o departamento especializado, com essa captura, cinco suspeito de envolvimento com o crime estão presos. Um sexto suspeito morreu em confronto com a polícia após reagir a abordagem policial, ano passado, em Santa Rita.
As investigações desse crime, conduzidas pelo DCRIF, seguem até que sejam capturados e presos todos os envolvidos no crime.
